The industrial brake belongs to the type of compression spring brakes. This model allows you to manually adjust the braking torque by adjusting the three screws on the rear of the brake. The tightening of these screws increases the braking torque, and loosening them reduces the braking torque.
In the absence of current, the springs, arranged in their housing, exert a force on the movable plate that prevents the movement of the friction disk. When the electromagnet is connected, the generated magnetic field attracts the movable plate, moving it and thus releasing the friction disk.
